MicroMIH
Therapeutic
Crowns

MicroMIH™ Therapeutic crowns are specially designed for Hypomineralized teeth. These crowns offer protection against all sources of hypersensitivity and pain, protect tooth structure, and provide a gentle clinical procedure.

Value Proposition

Value Proposition

MicroMIH™ therapeutic crowns is a response to the emergent burden of Hipomineralized Teeth. Their main advantages are: Firstly it has the ability to be placed without any ‘hard’ intervention such as drilling or anaesthesia being then a friendly and soft restorative procedure. Secondly, it provides protection againstl all sources of sensitivity. Thirdly and finally the new crown is specifically engineered to provide protection against high stresses during tooth normal chewing preventing tooth structural degradation.

Advantages

The MicroMIH™ therapeutic crowns provide a game changing solution for hypomineralized teeth treatment with a set of advantages over existing solutions

Gentle.png

 Gentle placement - crown flexibility

MicroMIH™ sides (buccal, lingual, distal, mesial) are very thin, 100 micrometers (0,1 milimeters) the thickness of human hair, being extremely flexible (1000x more flexible than stainless steel and zirconia), allowing a gentle and painless crown placement

Gentle placement - No pre-treatment – no anesthesia – no drilling, no pain

MicroMIH™ are custom made and, along with flexibiblity, completely avoid preliminary tooth preparation. No tooth preparation means no anesthesia, no drilling, no sensitivity, no pain.

Toothbrush sensitivity protection

The material and design of the MicroMIH™ crown provide complete toothbrush sensitivity protection through load based dentinal fluid flow inhibition.

Cold and Hot sensitivity protection

MicroMIH™ crowns material thermal conductivity (100x lower than stainless steel and 10x lower than zirconia) inhibit dentinal contraction/expansion based fluid flow thus providing improved protection against hot and cold drinks and food temperate.

Tooth structural preservation

MicroMIH™ oclusal material design dampens and substantially reduces chewing tooth stresses thus preserving tooth structure and increases tooth longevity

one appointment.png

One appointment - several crowns

MicroMIH™ crowns offer the possibility of placing several crowns (up to eight) in a single appointment, with virtually no observable occlusion increase, as a result of their low thickness, flexibility, and customization to the patient's teeth.

sensitivity.png

Windy weather sensitivity protection

MicroMIH™ crowns material is fully dense thus providing full protection against air blasts and windy weather. Its density and very low air permeability inhibits outward fluid flow caused by fluid evaporation at surface of dentinal tubules.

 Sugar and acidic solutions protection

MicroMIH™ crowns material is fully dense thus providing full protection against sugar and acidic solutions. Its density and very low liquids permeabilty inhibits outward fluid flow caused by chemical interactions in dentinal tubules.

Mechanical and Impact sensitivity protection

MicroMIH™ oclusal material design dampens and reduces mechanical and impact stresses felt by tooth, in about 90% thus protecting tooth structure and increasing tooth longevity

Chewing loads sensitivity protection

MicroMIH™ crowns material design provide full dentinal load sensitivity protection through load based fluid flow inhibition.

Strong bonding to adhesives

MicroMIH™ crowns are manufactured with an inner pre-treated surface that assures strong bonding to some adhesives, with shear bondstrength of 30MPa. The choice of the adhesive is very important.

Excellent biological behaviour

MicroHIP™ therapeutic pediatric have excellent biological compatibility and anti-bacterial behaviour, similar or superior to SS crowns. Its reduced bacterial adhesion/colonization properties make this material excellent as regard to adverse effects on gingival health and gum recession.
